The Giraffe Centre in Lang’ata breeds the endangered Rothschild’s giraffe and releases offspring into protected Kenyan reserves. Visitors feed the giraffes by hand from a raised platform, eye to eye with the tallest animal on Earth.

It is a short hop from Nairobi National Park and the Sheldrick elephant nursery, which is why the three appear together on most Nairobi day tours.
